BoT Transducer Series by Barksdale Boosts System Performance & Reliability
Barksdale instruments are available in Canada through Wainbee Limited, including the new BoT series of digital pressure transducers. The next generation of transducers, these devices are perfect for exact monitoring and control requirements in applications involving gas-delivery or mobile hydraulic equipment and vehicles.
Users can configure the BoT series from 55 available standard options or leverage the proven design process to co-engineer bespoke solutions with short lead times, customizing these fully engineered solutions to meet their individual needs.
Lower cost of ownership
Both equipment manufacturers and their customers get several advantages from BoT transducers. They can increase system performance and reliability, reduce expenditures to modify equipment and systems because of the transducer shortage, and minimize the costs of manufacturing, commissioning, maintenance, and service. By customizing these Barksdale instruments, users can avoid re-engineering expenses for existing equipment and systems and meet “form, fit, and function” replacement requirements. BoT transducers also reduce total cost of ownership for end-user customers by eliminating the adapters and cables required to commission off-the-shelf pressure controls while lowering service and maintenance costs.
The BoT series is recommended for three categories of industries and applications:
- Gas delivery. Compressors and pumps; CNG and hydrogen; gas metering; HVAC; and medical gas systems
- Industrial. Compressors and pumps; general equipment; HVAC; and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Mobile hydraulic equipment. Aerial work platforms; buses; irrigation-equipment systems; off-highway vehicles; and construction and mining vehicles.
These transducers are designed and built particularly to address several key needs of equipment manufacturers for gas delivery and mobile equipment: fully customizable pressure ranges on mechanical or electrical connections; rugged, heavy-duty construction in a footprint 28 per cent smaller than those of typical analog electronic products; long-term reliability proved over 1,000,000 pressure cycles; accuracy of ¼ of a per cent and low offset error at zero pressure; and protection from hammering and spikes up to 23 times the working pressure.
