Clippard’s PV8 Micro Proportional Valves: Precision Control for Dosing & Flow
Clippard’s PV8 Micro Proportional Valves: Precision Control for Dosing & Flow
These are compact, robust, eight-millimetre, direct-acting valves that offer precise, linear control for accurate dosing and flow regulation in critical applications, with a design that enables efficient, exacting flow control.
With low power consumption, these micro proportional valves by Clippard provide excellent energy efficiency while maintaining low-noise operation and minimal vibration.
Customizable as per user needs
The versatile design of these micro proportional valves makes them perfectly compatible with a broad variety of medical, diagnostic, and industrial scenarios. The Clippard team recommends them for such applications as automotive fuel cells, critical medical tasks, and optimizing packaging and automotive systems. While standard solutions of this type can meet the requirements of most tasks, customers can fully customize the PV8 series according to their individual needs, and Clippard and Wainbee can offer advice for specific applications.
A key advantage of these micro proportional valves is their use of Clippard’s patented Spider Technology. In 1973, the manufacturer invented a new valve design that used a unique sealing mechanism to boost performance and dependability – fixing Clippard’s reputation as a major innovator in pneumatic control. Spider Technology features a seal held in place by a special spring consisting of a central plunger surrounded by magnetically responsive “legs” that move in response to pressure changes. When the valve is actuated, the legs move outwards, creating an opening that enables media to flow through.
Other benefits of the PV8 series: no downstream pulsations; smooth proportional delivery; low current power; and exceptional variability of flow-vs.-command current. Available accessories include #10-32 and M5 manifolds, made of aluminum and stainless steel. Among the technical specifications:
